Rosler savours Bees victory

Sunday 01-April-2012 12:01

First-half goals from the in-form Clayton Donaldson and Jonathan Douglas ultimately handed the Bees their third straight victory in an ill-tempered clash at stadium:mk in League One.

They had to ride their luck late on as substitute Jabo Ibehre hit the post for the Dons at the death after Shaun Williams' 88th-minute penalty had made it 2-1.

But Rosler admits it was sweet revenge for his team after Dons boss Robinson had compared their direct approach to the old Wimbledon following their 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture in December.

Rosler said: "It's all about the players. That meant a lot to us, first of all because MK Dons I regard playing-wise as the best team in the league.

"And I have not forgotten what my colleague said after the game that we drew 3-3 when he compared us with Wimbledon. I think my players gave the right answer that we can play very a good counter-attacking, quick passing game."
