Kernaghan: One game at a time

Sunday 08-April-2012 12:21

Two goals from Sam Saunders and a Shaleum Logan clincher helped the Bees to their best run of form for almost six years.

But defensive coach Alan Kernaghan was quick to dismiss talk of a top-six finish and said: "It's a real cliche, but we're just taking it game by game."

Brentford will probably be without skipper Jonathan Douglas for the Easter Monday trek to Hartlepool after he left Griffin Park in a leg brace following a cynical lunge from Steven Schumacher.

Kernaghan said: "I thought it was a red and not a yellow, but at the moment we're just pleased to have kept the run going.

"We'll have to see how the ankle is and make a decision, but for now we're just pleased to have kept the run going."
