Skipper will give Dons his all

Wednesday 11-April-2012 15:16

The 35-year-old, who played a key role in the the Dons' promotion to the Football League last season, was recalled by manager Terry Brown for the trip to Southend United on Monday after over a month out of the first-team picture.

Although Stuart admits that he has no future with Wimbledon, the centre-back says he will give 100 per cent if called up again during the end-of-season run-in.

"I had a good chat with Terry, he was honest with me, and I was honest with him," said Stuart. "I know I will not be here next season, but I told the manager that if I am needed again, then I will put the shirt on and give 100 per cent.

"I will carry on doing that for the rest of the season if required. I am here to play as I love the fans and everyone involved with the club.

"It is just football that one day you are in and then the next you are out. At the end of the day, I am still paid to play here and if called upon, then I will give my all.
