Brentford v Notts County preview

Friday 13-April-2012 10:17

Brentford have no new injury concerns.

Midfielder Jonathan Douglas was passed fit to face Hartlepool on Monday despite being taken to hospital just 48 hours earlier for X-rays on the ankle injury he suffered against Bury.

Defender Pim Balkestein was also involved in the goalless draw with Pools despite returning from his loan spell from AFC Wimbledon early with a broken toe.

The Bees are still without skipper Kevin O'Connor due to a foot injury, former County winger Myles Weston has an ankle problem and loanee Adam Forshaw was forced to go back to parent club Everton with a broken jaw.

Defender Leon Legge and striker Clinton Morrison could be recalled if boss Uwe Rosler makes changes.

Dele Adebola could come into contention for a starting role for Notts County.

Adebola has spent much of his time on loan from Hull on the sidelines with a knee injury but the big striker returned as a second-half substitute during the 3-1 home win over Yeovil on Monday.

He will hope to make his first start for the Magpies, while defenders Mike Edwards, Kieron Freeman and Jon Harley and midfielder Gavin Mahon are vying for recalls.

On-loan striker Jonathan Forte (facial injury) and defenders Stephen Hunt (ankle), Sam Sodje and Jude Stirling (knee) remain unavailable to manager Keith Curle due to injury.

Notts go into the game at Griffin Park occupying the final play-off spot on goal difference ahead of Carlisle, while Brentford are three points further back in eighth position.
