The 27-year-old Frenchman only arrived on a deal until the end of the season last month but, two substitute appearances and one start later, Di Canio has seen enough to decide he was wrong about recruiting the Orient frontman.
And in typically honest fashion, the Italian revealed why he would not use Tehoue on a matchday again.
"It's a technical decision," Di Canio told BBC Wiltshire.
"He's not as good as I thought he was. It is nearly impossible he will see the football pitch at Swindon.
"My main players give me 110 per cent because they've suffered with me all season. I have much better players than him in the way I want them to play and behave."
