Yeovil v Bournemouth preview

Friday 30-December-2011 14:28

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton has to deal with a spate of suspensions.

The Glovers will be without three regular first-team players because of bans.

Defender Kerrea Gilbert serves the second match of a three-game suspension incurred by his sending-off in the 0-0 draw with Rochdale on December 17.

Midfield duo Paul Wotton and Ed Upson received their 10th yellow cards of the campaign in the 3-2 home defeat to Charlton on Boxing Day and start two-match bans.

Conor Clifford and Gavin Massey could be in line for recalls following the pair's suspensions.

Striker Oli Johnson has returned to parent club Norwich after failing to make a significant impact at Huish Park.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury will have to contend with a mini striking crisis.

Bradbury could be missing up to four first-team attacking options for the clash at Huish Park.

Wes Thomas is not eligible to feature for the south-coast outfit until his move from Crawley becomes permanent when the January transfer window opens, while Charlie Sheringham has been ruled out with a foot injury.

Steve Fletcher is struggling with a hamstring problem and on-loan winger Scott Malone has suffered a grade one hamstring tear and has been ruled out, so youngster Lyle Taylor could get the nod up front.

There are further hamstring worries over defenders Mathieu Baudry and Adam Barrett, while midfielder Shaun Cooper is a doubt with a thigh complaint.

The one positive for Bradbury is the return of playmaker Harry Arter following his two-match suspension.
