Port Vale v Barnet preview

Port Vale have no new on-field problems to contend with ahead of the match.

The cash-strapped Burslem club, who are set to go into administration, will hope to have Clayton Donaldson available again after the defender was absent for the home victory over Burton on Tuesday night due to a hamstring injury.

Vale continue to nurse captain Marc Richards through his injury problems but the striker is expected to start.

Defender Gareth Owen remains sidelined by knee and hip problems, but midfielders Sam Morsy and Kingsley James as well as forwards Tom Pope and Ben Williamson are options for manager Micky Adams should he wish to make any changes as Vale look to extend their unbeaten run to nine matches.

Meanwhile, Izale McLeod is a doubt for Barnet.

League Two's top scorer, who is understood to be a target for Crawley, had to come off at half-time with an abductor injury during Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat by Gillingham.

Boss Lawrie Sanchez can at least welcome his first-choice centre-halves, Darren Dennehy and Paul Downing, back from suspension.

Their return means Michael Hector can revert to right-back while Clovis Kamdjo should move back into his regular midfield spot.

Winger Sam Deering will be checked over after sustaining a knock late on against the Gills.

Full-back Danny Senda remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury and striker Steve Kabba is also still missing with a knee problem.
