Jason Kennedy has urged his Rochdale team-mates to continue their unlikely battle for League One survival.
Kennedy struck an 87th-minute winner as John Coleman's side came from two goals down to win 3-2 against Exeter last weekend and seemingly delayed the inevitable.
Dale are eight points adrift of safety with three games to play, but Kennedy wants to keep up the pressure on the teams around them, starting with Saturday's trip to fellow strugglers Chesterfield.
"We just have to continue performing every week, keep picking up the results and you never know, teams around us could get nervous and start to slip up," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"We've fought back like that a few times - perhaps we need to start giving teams a two-goal start because, once we give opponents a head start, we start to play ourselves.
"We showed great determination and spirit to get back in it and get the win that keeps us fighting for another day."
