Rochdale boss John Coleman had sympathy for Wycombe after his side grabbed a late win to claim a League Two play-off spot.

Bobby Grant's deflected shot in injury-time handed Rochdale all three points at Adams Park, adding to an earlier effort from Ashley Grimes.

Sandwiched between the visitors' goals was an effort from Wycombe's Joel Grant but it counted for nothing.

"I feel for Wycombe to be honest because when you're scrapping for your lives and trying to get wins things like that seem to go against you," Coleman said.

"We started well but we didn't capitalise on that. But give Wycombe their due, they took the game to us after that. Fair play to them because they pressed us back and I think they were the better team in the first half but in the second half we were a lot better and in the end we probably deserved to win.

"I don't think we had had any luck all afternoon. I feel for them to be honest because you're scrapping for your lives and trying to get wins things like that seem to go against you."
