Rotherham United manager Andy Scott is willing to accept criticism from disappointed supporters.

The Millers, tipped by Scott to be promotion contenders, have had a disappointing season so far and languish well off the pace in League Two.

Three successive defeats has seen some fans voice their frustration at Scott, but the former Brentford manager is not getting flustered.

"The results hurt more than the criticism. When you lose you are going to get criticism," he said. "I am not expecting everyone to pat me on the back because people are passionate about their football club.

"Some people get angry and don't look at the facts of how we have performed. Criticism is something you have to deal with, I'd rather take it than the players so they can concentrate on their game."

Meanwhile, Scott has confirmed this weekend's game with Torquay at Don Valley is in doubt due to the cold weather and added: "The forecast for the next couple of days isn't great but that can change very quickly. We are hopeful it will go ahead but by Friday lunchtime we should know more."
