Rotherham manager Andy Scott knows his inconsistent team selection has been a hindrance this season.
Scott's squad has been beset by injuries, suspensions and poor form in a campaign that has been a disappointment following pre-season predictions of promotion.
When Scott hands in his teamsheet for Friday night's trip to high-flying Southend, he will name his 17th different defensive combination as he searches in vain for a settled side.
"The fact of the matter is that we haven't find the right solution. Just because we keep changing the side doesn't mean we won't get it right," he said.
"It's consistency in the whole side that we're after and that is something that has to come and the sides up the top have been picking the same side."
Meanwhile, Saturday's postponed clash with Torquay, which fell victim of a frozen pitch, has been rearranged for Tuesday March 13, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
