Steve Evans cut a satisfied figure after a first win as Rotherham manager appeared to have slipped through his fingers.
Lewis Grabban's injury time screamer secured a 3-2 win for the 10-man Millers in a topsy-turvy contest against Morecambe.
"We are obviously highly delighted," said Evans. "We had total dominance in the first half and to go in at 1-1, I was disappointed with the quality in the final third.
"But in the second half we played with the sort of ferocity we play in training.
"I think we did the same with 10 men. In the end I wouldn't have been too disappointed with a draw.
"We missed a big chance at 2-1 and I think if we had scored that it could have been four or five. We have to be delighted to go down to 10 men and win."
