Rotherham manager Steve Evans is still waiting to learn whether his bid to sign an unnamed striker on loan has been successful.
Evans failed last week in his attempts to sign the player on a permanent basis, but is hoping to sign him on a long-term temporary deal.
"We're expecting something back soon," Evans told the club's official website. "But we've had no word.
"As I said in my Gaffer on a Sunday column, we've made an approach and now it's left with the chief executive to discuss things with the club in question, so I have let them get on with it.
"Hopefully we can have some news soon, but if it's not to happen we'll move on to other targets."
The Millers are looking to strengthen their attacking options following the sale of Lewis Grabban to npower League One side Bournemouth.
