Alan Knill is ready to put last season's injury woes behind him and expects a fully-fit squad to report back for Scunthorpe's training.
The Iron's bid to bounce straight back to the Championship last season were hit by a catalogue of injuries to key players and defender Paul Reid (broken nose) and midfield pair Damien Mozika (ankle) and Michael Collins (Achilles) were missing during the run-in.
Reid and Mozika will both be fit for the start of pre-season training and Knill told the club's official website: "We know Michael Collins will be out until mid-October, but apart from that we should be okay.
"Reidy might have had a few sleepless nights with his new baby, but as far as his nose goes he should be fine.
"We had a slight scare with Damien. He went home to France for a holiday. Then Alex [Dalton, the club physio] phones me and says that his ankle is still sore. But he's been in here every day and I spoke to him only [on Wednesday] morning and we're all sure that he's going to be fit.
"This is good for him, as he missed large chunks of the last campaign. With Collins we just don't know. There have been so many setbacks it really is difficult to tell. This time we've been told October, but that really is the earliest I'm expecting him back."
