Robins expects tricky start

The Iron travel to newly-promoted Burton on the opening day and face Crewe in their first home match before a midweek trip to Wigan.

“It’ll be a tough start,” Robins told the club’s official website.

“Burton have just come up so they will have a bit of momentum behind them and we’re going to a decent stadium and it’s a place we drew 2-2 in our first visit there.

“The pitch will be outstanding and it will be a tough start, as all of the games will be, but we will look forward to it.

“We obviously got given Barnsley at home in the League Cup, which was announced on Tuesday, and it’s another one to look forward to.

“I’ve had a quick scan through the fixtures and it stands out that we’ve got Doncaster Rovers away on Boxing Day and Wigan Athletic at home on January 2.”
