The Football Association has named Sunday's clash between Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United as an official Respect game.

The two captains will wear Respect armbands and the Respect team handshake will take place before kick-off at 1pm.

Pupils from the city's schools Wisewood Juniors, Thorncliffe Juniors and Brinsworth/Whitehill Juniors will have the honour of being Respect flag bearers around the pitch in front of the sell-out crowd at Hillsborough.

The FA's Respect manager Dermot Collins said: "Respect is important to the way in which our national game is played and the vast majority of people involved want the game to be highly competitive and combative, but also fair and decent, creating an enjoyable environment for everyone involved."

The FA launched its Respect programme in August 2008 in a bid to improve standards of behaviour both on and off the pitch.
