Manager Danny Wilson says Saturday's staggered kick-off times could give both Sheffield clubs an unfair advantage in the promotion battle.

The Blades, one point ahead of the Owls in the race for the second automatic promotion spot with two games remaining, kick-off against Stevenage at 5.20pm in front of the television cameras in their final home game after Wednesday play their last away match at Brentford at 3pm.

"If I was in Sheffield Wednesday's position having to kick off before my opponent with one game to go, I wouldn't be too happy, but that's the way it's fallen and that's TV for you," said Wilson.

When asked if he and his players will keep a close eye on the Owls' encounter, Wilson said: "You've got to know, of course. It does affect how you approach some parts of the game and it might even affect the line-up yet. We'll leave the teamsheet until as late as possible."

Wilson added: "I don't feel it's fair. I wouldn't be happy if it was the other way round. It'd be great if you won. But you've no chance of changing it because it's dicated by TV, there's no point in arguing about it.

"But I think I would have to make it understood by the authorities that perhaps this is not a level playing field."
