Danny Wilson has dedicated Sheffield United's day out at Wembley for their League One play-off final later this month to the club's fans.
The Blades bounced back from the disappointment of being pipped at the post for automatic promotion by Sheffield Wednesday with a hard-fought 1-0 aggregate win in the semi-final against Stevenage and now take on Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield on May 26.
"The fans deserve this trip to Wembley more than anybody," Wilson told the club's official website. "The way they roared us on at the end on Monday was amazing and the noise was deafening - we couldn't get any messages on to the players.
"The promotion dream has been there all season, it has never died. At 0-0 they pushed us on to get the winner and when that hit the back of the net they went ballistic - the support we've had all season has been nothing less."
Wilson, who has seen his strikeforce decimated in recent weeks - Ched Evans, James Beattie (suspended) and Richard Cresswell (eye infection) were all unavailable for the 1-0 second leg win over Stevenage, added: "We will prepare as we would for any other game. The lads will return to training towards the end of this week and work through until the final."
