Defender Connor Brown has turned his back on last season's League One contenders Sheffield United, opting rather to join Oldham Athletic.
The 20-year-old, who can play in both full-back positions and also on the right of midfield, has agreed a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.
Brown was released from Bramall Lane at the end of the season after six years with the Blades.
He arrives at Boundary Park as a replacement for Kieran Lee, who has joined United's city rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
