Sheffield United's influential midfielder Kevin McDonald has signed a new two-year deal at Bramall Lane, the club has confirmed.
The 23-year-old contributed three goals and six assists for United last season, but missed out on May's play-off final loss to Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield with a hamstring injury.
"It has taken time to make the decision, but I think I have made the right one," he told the club's official website.
"It was good to get back playing last year and I enjoyed myself - that's one of the major reasons why I have re-signed."
