Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones says he's counting on Sheffield United to slip-up after being held to a 1-1 draw at Colchester.
Henderson poked low past Owls goalkeeper Stephen Bywater from close range after three minutes, after Steven Gillespie had pounced on Michail Antonio's error in the box.
But Wednesday got back on level terms seven minutes after half-time through Miguel Angel Llera, who converted from close range after Colchester failed to deal with a Chris Lines free-kick.
The draw leaves Wednesday four points behind second-placed rivals Sheffield United, who beat Leyton Orient 3-1.
Jones said: "There's still a long way to go and if it's going to be by that route (the play-offs), then that's what it will be. About 10 or 11 games ago, you were probably talking about being out of it anyway but now all of a sudden, we're in with a shout.
"We have to rely on Sheffield United faltering but that's been what it's been like since the day I walked in. I hope there will be more twists and turns, because of the situation we're in."
