Graham Turner is plotting a pre-season regime which he hopes will set Shrewsbury up for a successful campaign in League One.
Shrews finally clinched automatic promotion from League Two after seven years of trying and will compete in the third tier of English football for the first time since 1997.
And Turner will leave no stone unturned as he bids to keep Town there, with his squad returning to pre-season training on July 5.
"At the moment we've got Wolves penned in (for a friendly on July 31) and we're looking for maybe one more, maybe two more big ones to come to the Meadow, and a few smaller ones away from home."
He added: "I'm hoping to finalise another trip to RAF Shawbury to get people into military mode, into discipline mode. That will be fairly early in the programme and then we will move on to the pre-season matches.
"We won't be leaving this country. There is the prospect we might look at a university with good sporting facilities and have a few days somewhere like that and play a couple of games while we're away."
