Turner: Disappointed to concede late on

Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner admitted Leyton Orient's late winning goal was a real downer for him and his players.

Jon Taylor rounded off a great move to bring Town level after 70 minutes following Kevin Lisbie's penalty. But the O's striker struck again with just two minutes remaining as the hosts won 2-1.

"It's difficult to take," he said. "I thought that we weathered the early storm in the first-half and then had one or two good chances when Jon Taylor, Luke Rodgers and Marvin Morgan all had good opportunities.

"But the penalty decision against us is a difficult one to accept because it changes the whole mood around the place. I just felt that up until then, their crowd were just starting to have a little moan and some of their players were getting a little edgy. But then they get a penalty and it settles them all down.

"We didn't start the second-half particularly well but we got a goal back from what I thought was a terrific move, full of pace and movement and then a great finish form Jon. At that point, you think you can hang on and get something out of the game.

"But to concede a goal from a corner was disappointing, everybody has got a job to do and that was particularly galling and very upsetting."
