Martin O'Neill has revealed Lee Cattermole will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Sunderland's FA Cup clash with Arsenal this weekend.
The former Middlesbrough midfielder has been out since late January with a hamstring injury and missed the opportunity to play against his former side in the last round.
But O'Neill believes the 23-year-old, who's played a pivotal role in the Black Cats revival, has every chance of featuring against Arsenal.
O'Neill said: 'We're hoping that Lee will be added to the list. He has done a little bit of training over the last couple of days.
"As we speak we haven't yet gone out this morning, so we'll have a little look.
"Lee is playing very well at the moment and would be a great addition for us."
