I think Lallana has actually improved since Klopp arrived. Still not up to the consistent standard expected, but definitely on an upward trajectory. I doubt very much Ibe will start tomorrow having played 90 mins on Thursday, and Lallana only playing the last couple of minutes.

Not only has Lallana improved recently but you’re right, so has Ibe. He was very poor earlier this season. I thought he looked like he was carrying a bit of weight, and it is only in the last few games he’s looked up for it – the Cup match v Bournemouth was the first game this season that he showed anything for me. So the jury is still out on him, but I hope you’re right in reckoning Ibe is a step up on Sterling. I just think you’re basing it on a few performances last season and only 2 this season…and it would appear Sterling is doing ok at the Etihad – maybe not £49m ok, but still ok.
