Midfielder Jonathan Smith has agreed to rejoin League Two outfit York City from Swindon Town.
The 25-year-old left City to join the Robins for £30,000 in June last year and won a League Two winners' medal as Paolo Di Canio's side stormed to the title.
Despite making 48 appearances and scoring three goals for the Robins, Smith was made available for transfer at the end of last month as Di Canio shapes his squad for an assault on back-to-back promotions.
And he has now penned a two-year deal at Bootham Crescent as Gary Mills' squad prepare for their Football League return next month.
