Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio was pleased with an improved performance from his side in the 0-0 draw with Sheffield United.
Di Canio, who threatened to fine his players after their FA Cup defeat by non-league Macclesfield at the weekend, saw Matt Ritchie strike the top of the crossbar as the Robins came closest to breaking the deadlock after half-time.
"We played much better than we did on Saturday so I am pleased," he said, after Town came up against former boss Wilson at the County Ground.
"We deserved to win because we dominated the first half and if we work hard like this every week we can do well in the future.
"A point is acceptable because we have played against a team who fight hard for every win. They are big and physical and play the ball straight.
"Sheffield United remain unbeaten in the league but it says something about how good we can be that we are only six points behind."
