Tranmere duo Joss Ladabie and David Raven will visit specialists this week in a bid to overcome their injury problems.
Complications from a previous foot injury ruled midfielder Ladabie out of Saturday's defeat to Bournemouth, while defender Raven has been sidelined since December with a groin complaint.
Rovers manager Les Parry told Tranmere Player: "Joss didn't travel on Saturday. He's got a pin in his foot that has come a little bit loose and it's aggravating the tissue on the side.
"He had to come off before half-time in the home game against Brentford and it has been bothering him since. Last week he played for the reserves and now he can't put anything on his feet except flip flops because it's so sore."
On Raven, Parry added: "He's got an underlying problem that needs sorting, so he'll be out for a time yet."
Meanwhile, the Prenton Park treatment room is expected to be a little less congested following news that Owain Fon Williams (hand), Adam McGurk (hamstring) and Zoumana Bakayogo (knee) are all set to return to training this week.
