Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore feels his side deserve credit for their performances since his fairytale return to the club.
Andy Robinson lashed a superb free-kick into the roof of the net as Rovers, who have lost just two of their last 10 matches, earned a 1-0 win at Walsall.
"We had a bit of luck (against Walsall). I couldn't see (Kevan) Hurst missing that chance which gave us a lifeline. Then we defended well when they threw everything but the kitchen sink at us.
"Walsall's home form has been fantastic and we were a bit fortunate. I don't see Walsall going down.
"My players have given me that nearly every game since I came back to the club. They had a real go and if you do that you have half a chance."
