Tranmere have signed Jason Mooney on a one-year contract after the goalkeeper impressed during a trial with the club.
The 23-year-old joined Wycombe last summer but spent the whole of the season on loan at Oxford City where he was named the fans' player of the year.
While on trial at Rovers Mooney, from Northern Ireland, kept clean sheets in friendly victories over Cammell Laird and Heswall.
Manager Ronnie Moore said: "I've been really pleased with Jason in pre-season.
"He's vocal, dominates his area, is a good shot stopper and he's an imposing figure at six foot.
"He'll provide good back up for Owain Fon Williams and I'm happy he's agreed to join us."
