Walsall open their 2012/13 League One campaign with the visit of relegated club Doncaster, who will aim for a good start on August 18.
Dean Smith, who kept the Saddlers up last season, will then oversee trips to Oldham and Notts County.
A short journey to Coventry comes on December 8 with the return fixture on April 1 while Christmas sees away games at MK Dons on Boxing Day and Leyton Orient three days later.
New Year's Day sees Stevenage visit the Banks's Stadium, while the season closes with a trip to Crewe on April 27.
