Ipswich defender Jordan Spence has signed a new contract.

The right-back has put pen to paper on a two-year deal after impressing during the second half of last season, when he made 17 appearances for Mick McCarthy’s men on a short-term contract.

Spence started his career at West Ham and broke into the first-team set up, as well as having loan spells at Leyton Orient, Scunthorpe, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons, before making a permanent move to Milton Keynes.

He won promotion to the Championship with the Dons before leaving last summer, ahead of linking up with Ipswich in January.
