TEAMtalk Editor Simon Wilkes picks his England XI to face Ukraine in Tuesday's Euro 2012 showdown - and asks you, our readers, to do the same.

With Wayne Rooney returning from suspension for England's final Group D assignment, England coach Roy Hodgson has his full squad available so we'll get to see what he views as his first-choice starting XI.

There are a number of decisions for Hodgson to make, with Rooney's availability and guarantee of a shirt meaning either Danny Welbeck or Andy Carroll will make way for the talismanic Manchester United maestro.

James Milner is also under firm pressure on the right flank, with Theo Walcott passing a fitness test to turn up the heat on the Manchester City man, who has been solid but unspectacular against France and Sweden so far.

Walcott's super-sub heroics against the Swedes appear to have put him ahead of Milner in the pecking order - but is he best kept on the bench, from where he can come on against tiring legs and make a bigger impact?

The final question is on the left flank, where Ashley Young has failed to impress in his two outings so far.

Arsenal flyer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is an option for Hodgson - but does Young deserve the chance to show what he can do alongside his United team-mates if Welbeck gets the nod to partner Rooney?

I've been banging the drum for a switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation - but it appears Hodgson is going to rigidly stick with the 4-4-1-1 line-up.

Hodgson's choice (probable): Hart; Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole; Walcott, Parker, Gerrard (c), Young; Rooney; Welbeck.

Simon Wilkes' England XI (4-4-1-1): Hart; Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole; Milner, Parker, Gerrard (c), Young; Rooney; Welbeck.

Defence: The backline largely picks itself, with Ashley Cole continuing at left-back despite having a torrid time against Sweden.

Midfield: The clamour for Walcott to start following his starring role from the bench is almost deafening - but I'd keep him up my sleeve for this game due to the worry over his hamstring concern, especially as Milner's defensive strengths allow Glen Johnson to attack down the right flank.

I'm also keeping faith with Ashley Young as it will be great to see United's attacking trio combining together in England shirts.

Attack: Andy Carroll did the business against Sweden and gave us an extra dimension as well as some much-needed aerial presence.

But the Liverpool man is the man to make way for the returning Rooney, whose understanding and goals tally with club colleagues Welbeck and Young will hopefully transfer to the international stage.
