Wolves midfielder Karl Henry has called for his team-mates to raise their game as the club bids to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The Molineux side, who are looking for a new boss after dismissing Mick McCarthy nine days ago, travel to Newcastle United this weekend and Henry is demanding a response.

Henry said: "We know we need plenty of results between now and the end of the season.

"We know for everyone's sake that we have to go and get a result on Saturday. We know we have underperformed this season both individually and as a group.

"We've got to stand up and be counted at Newcastle and individuals have got to raise their games. But we're still fighting.

"I'm sure everyone else would love to hear that we've packed it in and think we're going to get relegated.

"But I certainly don't think we are going to get relegated and neither do the rest of the team. But the only way we can change things is by performing on the pitch and digging some results out."
