Chris Beech believes Rochdale's clash with Wycombe on Saturday has no greater significance than any other League One game.
Beech will take charge of his sixth game as caretaker manager when Dale travel to Adams Park and he is yet to taste victory since stepping into the vacancy left by Steve Eyre's December sacking.
However, a raft of loan signings means the squad already bears Beech's imprint and the 37-year-old does want a focus on single matches to take away from the club's overriding aim.
"Whether it's a six-pointer, I'm not really interested in that," he said. "All I'm interested in is the league table after the last game on the last day of the season and I want to be in a position of safety before we get to that football match.
"It's a massive challenge against Wycombe because they're professional football players with pride who will go about their business as best they can.
"They'll be ready, but we'll be ready too."
