Yeovil have taken Oxford City defender James Clarke on trial to see if he can make the step-up to League One football.
Clarke, 22, who can play at both right-back and centre-half, was on the books at Oxford United, making 32 appearances for the U's before making the switch to neighbours City.
He was a part of their Southern League Premier Division side who won promotion to Blue Square Bet North last season.
Manager Mike Ford told the Oxford Mail: "James is going to Yeovil for two weeks and although he is still our player, I didn't feel we could stop him having the opportunity to go to a Football League club.
"If I'm being selfish, I would like him back at the club. I told him how valuable he has been to us, but I hope it works out well for him.
"If it doesn't, then the door is always open for him to come back."
