Yeovil boss Gary Johnson said the result was far more important than his side's performance after seeing them win 1-0 at Crewe.
Byron Webster's first-half strike nicked all three points for the visitors, who have climbed up to 10th in the table on the back of three straight league wins.
Johnson said: "The important thing is the result. Some games you have to play like Barcelona sometimes you have to play like a pub team, but it doesn't matter as long as you get the result.
"Crewe have got a lot of lads they think highly of so any result is a good result here. We had to dig in at times and we gave a professional performance and got in a few times to kill it off towards the end.
"We've won three games in eight days and have turned things around and we're looking strong.
"Byron Webster has got the technique to score goals with his head and his feet and I know that once he started really wanting to get on the end of things he would score."
