Aindro – even if was a misunderstanding on the injur, how did kepa not know Willy wasn’t coming on a tactical switch for the pen shootout – bet it’s awkward between them in training on Monday

City fan in peace – thought it was a good performance from you guys today and whilst the game wasn’t the most chance ridden game I’ve watched I thought defensively you were superb and really stiffled city.

On the kepa thing (which is why I came for a brief visit to see what you guys were naking of it) – agree with RomansDirty… kepa was time wasting all game (no issues with that), I don’t think he was injured but was killing time and the root of the problem was a lack of communication, would have been interesting to see what Willy would have done and had there not been that distraction.

On the negative – not sure why sarri didn’t setup like that at the Etihad a couple of weeks ago – it was very similar to the first half at Stamford bridge earlier in the season when you absorbed our pressure and caught us with a sucker punch. Players are clearly playing for Sarri though

On the positive – hazard – what a player, palpations everytine he ran at us – I’d love to see him in our side (wishful thinking)

Best of luck for the remainder of the season and fighting that transfer ban

    Jonathan Moss (v Liverpool)

Excellent display – thought he got all the major decisions right including offside goals, red card and yellow cards – I think he fell for a couple of bought free-kicks from both sides

I thought Otamendi and Fernandinho had a very shakey start until Liverpool went a man down.

Mendy, Walker and Danilo were superb but what a performance from KdB outstanding

I think there isn’t one player in our midfield or defence that sniffs out danger…today in the first half Mendy was pushed high up the field and Otamendi is diving in to win balls leaving the right wing completely exposed. B’mouth scored from this, so did Everton and in the first 20 mins it was a gaping hole.

One thing I noted with Everton, is exactly the same thing happened. Leighton Baines lost the ball high up the pitch and immediately Schneiderlin sprinted to cover the left back position.

We have never replaced De Jong and Barry and until we have a defensive minded holding midfielder then we will continue to run into these problems.

The forward line are missing chances because they are playing under the spectre that we have to score 2-3 goals in a game to win. Take that pressure off them and our goals/target percentage will be increase

    Mike Dean (Bournemouth Away)
What an utter farce of a display – continually stopped play, pulled it back for both clubs when he should have played on, missed a clear red and a possible one and I honestly thought missed the free kick to B’mouth in the lead up to the winner, to send sterling off was a shocking decision… very poor display

spang – that pass to Aguero from Edersen – wow!!

I’ve looked at the second Walker yellow card and wondering if it’s the fact he looked behind and then altered his run to check the Everton player – never in a million years a yellow card but wondering if the ref construed it as a deliberate foul

Everton clearly targeted Sane lack of defensive guile and it paid dividends – very reminiscent of last season, lots of possession, a lot of chances, not very clinical in front of goal and away team snatch something with a defensive mistake.

That said positives is Peps substitutions changed the game, I thought Danillo did very well because unlike Walker and Sane (who were playing wing backs he committed defenders with over lapping runs – just like Zabba used too). In addition Sterling was terrifying Everton every time he got the ball

I’d really like to see a side with Mendy Walker playing full backs and Sane and Sterling providing width and coverage in front and behind – I think this would not only stretch teams but make it far less congested in the middle which it was tonight

well madeley lived up to his reputation of being woefully inconsistent and buying whatever dive the Everton players would sell him. The sooner we get Video replays the quicker we rid the game of these incompetent fools

    I think this is simple…

    He’s experienced
He is a left sided centre half
He can play left back (meaning it’s not a necessity have to purchase a LB for cover for Mendy)
    He is Home-grown
He is relatively cheap – in this market (although I’m staggered at £18M+)

Given all that above it makes sense especially if we are targeting a large spend on Sanchez or Mbappe.

The clear downside is his connections to the Swamp Dwellers.

If he has a blue shirt on I’ll support him.

We really ought to be looking to win this game… Everton have spent heavily and I suspect they’ll be more adventurous than putting 11 men behind the ball. That said I think they have got a side with limited pace and no natural target man.

Last two seasons home games have been very unlucky not to walk away with it. I’m going 1-0 or 2-1 City

    Everton (Home) – Booby Madeley
Based on past reports he will be inconsistent, whistle happy and not protect players from persistent fouling

AMZ – there is one huge difference here… Sanchez is in the last 8 months of his contract. Aguero has recently signed a new contract. The Arsenal’s boards track record is to penny pinch on deal (see Suarez offer), realistically they have to forego £50M to keep Sanchez for a season – I don’t see them doing that.

I love Sanchez he’s a great world class player but I’m not convinced he should be our priority as we are already blessed for attacking forwards, I honestly believe cover for VK and a holding/disrptor in midfield should be our priorities

Adlab – what’s does a successful season look like for you? I’d be disappointed if we didn’t hit my mark(s)as I think they are reasonable expectations with our squad and manager

I do worry about an injury to centre half or one of our strikers

Ederson’s pass to Aguero – WOW… I heard he had a long kick from deadball situation but that was unreal.

That will be a huge weapon because with our pace it will force teams to depend deep giving us more space in the middle or be susceptible to the counter (in the same way Aguero went very deep for that pass).

Really looking forward to the season and see how this team develops

    Totally agree box2boxmf

He’s not the finished article but playing int he right team consistently will make him grow up mentally and physically.

I heard it’s a route to Leicester (will be interesting if there is a buy-back clause inserted). I can’t really see him getting in the Spurs side in-front of Kane without you chaps changing your system.

He’s an out and out poacher – give him the ball in the box and invariably it will end up in the back of the net – better goals/min that Aguero. Reminds me a lot of Defoe

Needs some game time and also probably needs to bulk out a little (which he did last season)

999 very much doubt serge will go – seems pretty clear and dry in Khaldoons season review. EVery player hasn’t his price, If Lukaku is £80M then Sergio is £160M.

I’d love to see sanchez at city who know she off it will come off but if it does we city fans will be in for a hell of a season
