“Luis Rubiales: Prosecutors want jail for World Cup kiss”.

    What?
Is this for real? What the fuck is this world coming to?
The guy is obviously a bit of a cock, he got carried away in the moment and did something really fucking inappropriate. But you can’t send him to jail for 2 and a half years for kissing someone!
    WTF????

JM – I was going to say that we might be seeing something special with Kobi Mainoo after that England performance. His ability to turn into players with the ball and not lose it is phenomenal.

JM – Yeah i agree with that in principal. But it’s not reality is it? If you think we’re going to get a squad full of first 11 players this summer then you’re dreaming – a label usually reserved for me! 😉

As such, i think McTominay falls into a slightly different category. Where he’s basically a good enough squad player to keep for now.
You can’t get rid of Malacia, Evans, Maguire, Varane, Lindelof, AWB, Casemiro, Eriksen, Sancho, Martial AND McTominay in one window. Ratcliffe has already said it will be a patient approach.

    Doku ha ha!
That’s a lot of detail you’ve got about City players englishbob. There i was thinking that you were an Arsenal fan! Depends on what your “agenda” is for any particular day though doesn’t it?!

McTominay is the perfect squad player. Generally always fit and can play in a couple of different roles. He has good impact from the bench. Oh and he’s scored more goals than Bruno this season and second only to Hojlund.
I know he’s hated on here but i’ve always liked his passion and energy. When a manager actually knows how to get the best out of him he’s an asset to the team. With Casemiro and Eriksen likely leaving that leaves us with Bruno, Mainoo and McTominay. I can’t see us signing 2 midfielders this summer so i reckon McTominay will stay.

So left back, centre back, midfielder and striker are the key areas for summer recruitment. Then lets see what happens with the right wing scenario. Hopefully Amad stays.

I’ve thought about Southgate to United a few times and always felt it would be an underwhelming appointment. But!
There’s clearly a lot of things that need addressing at the club and one of them is a spirit and culture in the dressing room. I don’t rate Southgate as a tactician of the game but i don’t think anyone can argue about the spirit he has cultivated at international level.
Ratcliffe is rumoured to want to go for young English talent (rightly so, that’s what United have always done) and Southgate knows all of the talent coming through the English ranks. I also saw an article that said Ashworth and Southgate are very close and work very well together.
I also think, regardless of the general apathy of the UK public, that Southgate can handle the media and is a good speaker in front on the media. Maybe Ten Haag has given himself another season with the Liverpool win but i don’t think Southgate would be an awful choice to replace him.

That was a victory all about character, determination and leadership. All of the things we have been lacking this season. We missed so many chances, Rashford particularly and McTominay as well. Liverpool were dominant, as expected, but they were very lucky with their deflected goals.
Felt great for Antony and Amad at the end. Gernacho is turning into some player as well. Mainoo will be a star.
All in all a great Paddy’s weekend!! 😉

Looks like this Neves kid from Benfica is high up our priorities list this summer. 19 years old but won’t be cheap, £100m release clause. Could him and Mainoo be the midfield for the next 10 years?

JM is absolutely spot on here I’m afraid lads! Klopp has done just about ok when you take into consideration what he’s spent versus the fact that he hasn’t had to compete with the Chelsea, Arsenal or Man Utd of old. And for the dizzy heights of 1 league title and 1 CL he’s subsequently taken them to Europa league football. It’s been amazing for Liverpool given the previous 30 years of shite they’ve had to endure but still, it’s fuck all. Clearly the main reason he’s leaving is because he’s just no match for Pep and the City cheat machine, who is?! But the “pundits” wanking over him every week is just exhausting, blown out if all proportion.
Obviously that cunt Zico will still be sucking Klopp’s balls wherever he goes next but he’s not a United fan so I wouldn’t take anything he says on these pages seriously.
    Cheers!

Ross Barkley? Half a decent season in 10 years? Ok!
