Clearly 9 you missed the part I wrote about the post being tongue in cheek… you and lucky ducky d who tried to insult me. Nothing contentious about how the club is being run 999. It’s the way it is, fans chased every manager out probably bar ancellotti. Turned on Jose 1st and second time, called for avb to be sacked, big Phil, conte, it just doesn’t matter, fans will turn on the manager…

Lampard has no track record in management… derby failed to get promoted and had some wobbly scratchy patches of form. Dennis wise and pat nevin on record as saying it’s a massive job and totally different to Derby and be careful.

I’m no different to last summer when sarri was appointed, I will wish Lampard all the best in the world, same as it was for sarri. It was the transition year but the stupid fans made it clear sarri was getting sacked in the morning and fuck Sarri Ball. Classless retards do that. But the fans have no patience. I doubt many on here will if we struggle, which we will… you included.

Fingers crossed Lampard doesn’t use his intelligence and keep away from Chelsea’s dug out… that would be f-Ing hilarious.

67.. Call me old fashioned, but twitter is a big pile of stinking poo… as for anyone hailing Sarri as a genius, never once read that on these pages or in online reporting. I dont bother with twitter because its full of brain dead zombies and bots. more bots than humans now parroting the brain dead hive collective as directed by algorithms. Hence why incorrect material can spread so quickly on the site, its pushed by bots to sympathetic ears/ accounts, hence why its nothing more than an echo chamber of misinformation, much like the claim sarri is and was a genius.

Read quirkology and the chapter on computers that flatter humans… Its an age old problem… 🙂

As for your posts, theyre about establishing confirmation bias. Hence why after the manager has gone you’re looking for support in your opinions as to why Sarri has gone.

Its Lampard or Rafa and I give either 6 to nine months or to our first dip in form before Twitter becomes another whirl of sack the manager and everyone laps it up.

Chris, different era’s but I hear what you’re saying. Back when we had hoddle, Gullit and Vialli, we were a cup team. The only two domestic forces in the league at that time were Manchester United /Arsenal. Blackburn had spent big to win back then too. Liverpool had the spice boys and white line cokehead celebration fowler.

There have been few player managers in the top tier since. The game has moved on to new levels of spending and more importantly coaching.

As a fan, how much time are you willing to give Frank Lampard and Jody Morris at the club as and when we go through a blip in form/ get knocked out of cups or struggle to qualify for CL football as we have for the past two seasons? What happens if we dont qualify for the champions league and finish outside the top 4, will you want Lampard to continue then?

I think its a fair question given we now have between one or two managers a season setting the team up. If “fans favourite” Lampard chooses to stay at Derby, who will fans be happy seeing lead the club and how much time will they be afforded by the club before they start getting on the team and managers back? The club need to buck its ideas up about recruitment and retention of staff, the players need to look at themselves given whats emerged from the dressing room since the Europa league win, and us fans need a massive reality check to boot.

9’s… managers come and go. To be expected. But Palmbs sums it up well, a manager a season. I dont care about the quality of players, we’ve a squad ageing and approaching decline, I think it had set in with Eden tbh. Spain will give him a few more seasons in the tank.

Its just the conintuity. I said all along with Conte at the club why were we signing players like Giroud, Zappacosta, Bakayoko when we had RLC a year younger who excelled at palace and forced his way into the England set up. We’ve now presumably been lumbered with Jorginho, who will have to adapt his game or move on. Most likely to city.

Id take Ranieri back to rebuild this side as im on record as saying. I think he’d make a better DOF than Chech to be honest.

Either way. We reset once more this summer, lets see where we are this time next year and if we still have the same manager in charge, which, even with Frank Lampard, is probably 50/50 right now if he signs tomorrow.

    9’s – just think it’s
Madness to have let the players fans and sari get into the position they did. And I just hope fans never over react again to two heavy defeats and a blip in form like that again. Really wasn’t pleasant.

But on we go managerless, for now, into another preseason…

Ain’t nothing but madness following this club.

9’s… We’ve tried all the big names and realistically who else is there who immediately jumps out?

Exactly why letting Sarri go to Juventus is a mind altering decision from the board and fans should hang their heads in shame… The club should have come out and defended him against the fans, but the fans and players knew better than sarri – as revealed by the dumb left back we have masquerading as a defender at the club. Alonso needs to be ditched this window or sent to train with the under 16 who could teach him how to defend.

    I wouldn’t consider OGS’s appointment a success… an I’m assuming your comment is tongue in cheek. 🙂

I said in a post a week or so again, it doesn’t matter who comes in, they have 38 league games to see if they continue. Realistically, if we’re not challenging for top four after 20 games the manager position wobbles above a trap door. It doesn’t matter if its one of our own or a new man or a fat Spanish waiter, 20 games be competitive or piss off is our approach to managers. And when we get a good one, we either piss them off or allow them to leave or sack them.

cest le vie… or is that Celery…

If and when Frank Lampard is unveiled as manager, I’ll be delighted we have one of our own back in charge.

However, im separating Frank Lampard the player entirely from his managerial career. If Frank isnt good enough for Chelsea I hope he acknowledges that and walks away before he’s sacked.

The last manager we appointed with a similar amount of experience was AVB.

But given the bookies odds… It looks like Frank Lampard will be deemed our new messiah to lead us from the wastelands of also-rans to champions. Whoever takes the reigns has a massive job to do.

Still cant believe CFC are in the position they are in tbh… its absolutely head banngingly frustrating.

So… Think it’s worth mentioning Real Madrid have spent more than 300 million so far since the season has closed.

half of that is coming to Chelsea. Real could spend close to half a billion Euros this summer given that the clubs recruitment appears to be looking for one or two more players. An Ericksen or Pogba type still to move there.

I think the point is, that given we’ll have CL revenue, the Hazard transfer fee, ongoing premier league revenue and more fee’s due from the loan army via loans or sales this season, we could head into 20/21 season with a massive war chest equalling Madrids recent expenditure. The club could also pay back half of the amount owed to Fordstream should it feel inclined or put it aside for the new stadium…

Which makes the next managers job a nightmare unless the club and fans drop expectations about what they want from the upcoming season. IMO we might struggle with top four if United and Arsenal get their act together. It also means that should we not secure top 4, the manager we appoint will be gotten rid of and the new man will have to start from scratch, albeit with a massive war chest.

Its critical the next appointment secures top 4 to continue what is a transitional season (once again) and be able to build in year two on whatever takes place this season. Or we’ll start from scratch again.

From Sarri to Benitez… seriously downbeat about this news if true. Really troubling that club appear not to have learnt from the Sari appointment in having fans onside.

Oh well, as I said earlier in the year, careful for what you wish for.

9’s… Kovacic – Good on the ball, tough tackling, cant shoot, cant pass beyond five yards, an assured top quality player, honestly think that.. but would probably be better settled in North London.

We’re going to have to accommodate the returning Bakayoko… and he’s proper special at passing to the touchline between Chelsea players. Think even during the wretched season he endured with us, Bakayoko’s got more in his locker than Kovacic. There may even be redemption for Drinkwater next year…

With everything up in the air, its all to play for… over to you back in the studio.

One manager who certainly does pique my interest for our soon to be vacant position is Steve Holland… the other would be Marcelo Bielsa.

The thought of having our own in the dugout in the form of Lampard and Morris is great, I’ll welcome them with open arms, but, I got a nagging feeling about it.

We could do a lot worse than Leeds manager who has shown himself to be detailed… very detailed, even too competitive as frank lampard could attest this season.

Personal choice would be Deschamps who I do want to see manage us at some point.

For the last seven seasons, my first pick in Fantasy football has been Eden Hazard. Ive built the team around him. Hope he finds the next level to his game I dont think we’ve seen consistently enough. What we have seen has been pure class but you have to hand it to the board for a player going into his final year to get that much. Best of luck Mr Hazard until you play us in the CL final and we win.

Group stage winnings from the Europa cup
    3 million.
Qualification to the last 32 – 500 thousand.
being group winners 1 million bonus
Qualification to round of 16 – 1 million
Quarter final qualification – 1.5 million
Semi final qualification – 2.4 Million
    Final qualification – 4.5 million
    Cup winners – 4 Million
Super Cup qualification – 3.5 Million

21 million Euros prize money collected from Europa League. Obviously much more gained qualifying for the champions league. I guess we’re looking to claw back some compensation from Juve because Chelsea’s next manager will probably have to be bought out of their contract… Which would point to an appointment like Lampard tbh. Otherwise, why is the club nickel and diming Juve for a manager who isnt wanted?

999… Sunday morning in my house is grouchy… My apologies, I did speak out of turn and I did find Marshy’s response quite funny. Felt like a kid in a playground. Very sorry for my choice of language and what was said.

Sick of the manager merrygoround we have at the club. We await another name, it will put the club back 12 months minimum as the new man comes in and assess his squad options and works with the transfer ban in place etc etc.

There’ll be those glad to see the back of Sarri, for me it will be a case of what could have been. I suspect Juve will come to the bridge and knock us out of the champions league next year playing “Sarriball.” This should have been the transition season and was given youth integration and continued cup success, but were now looking at an entirely different project.

I dont care who is appointed as manager, they have 12 months to keep the side competitive and the fans onside. They’ll be out sooner if they cant. Its that simple. Its silly season and the summer, no football so no team talk. Will read on and Enjoy your holidays everyone and catch you for the 2019/20 season round these parts.

9’s, six years and it feels a lot longer… do pass my regards on to Jacks family. All the best everyone. Stay strong and be in good health.
