We were well and truly beaten. I’m going to be honest that Paul Pogba has most definitely been missed for United because he’s really the only one who offers any sort of creativity and link up play between midfield and attack hence probably why Romelu Lukaku is on his barren run at the moment although Lukaku obviously doesn’t have the best of statistics when it comes to facing top six opposition.

No doubt Utd need to get rid of the deadwood but I am questioning the manager’s tactics and philosophy. Spending £300m and play one of the worst football ever.. Can’t beat a top 6 club without parking the bus. I refuse to accept the likes of Mkhitaryan and Martial are bad players. It’s the tactics deployed by the manager. knocked it long to Lukaku/Fellaini and hoped for the best, is that what you should expect from a team that costs £100s of millions and subs worth £100 million? Jose is a good manager – but it looks to me he’s no longer the great manager he was prior to his second Chelsea dismissal. Whatever made him the special one has long deserted him. Think he is trying to get himself sacked to be honest so he can take over at PSG. He has needlessly had a pop at his own supporters this season and we haven’t reached Christmas yet.

Hopefully Man City have a run of mediocre games and drop some points. They probably won’t crack 100 for the season, so a few draws and the odd loss are bound to happen. Let’s see if we can go on a run and catch up to them.

By the way, why is Phil Jones’ fantastic own goal disallowed. Perfectly in the top corner with De Gea rooted 😉

It was very funny hearing Mourinho post match interview where he talked about utd having the better chances and chelsea defending with a lot of players. He’s so full of it. Utd once again played very rough – Herrera in particular should have been sent off. End of the day if Mourinho does not park a double decker bus we usually get nothing from matches against top opposition.

I don’t think anybody needs to fret about the finances!ffs Jose is making them shit loads so I’m relaxed on that front ; money will be available! Make no mistake.

Second in the league sustain that ;win a cup and go deep into the champions league they will be happy with the money Rolling in.

I swear I’d love to meet the club scouts and ask them wtf they are doing for their money!!!

Well evening lads Chelsea fan in peace. i have not come to provoke or taunt anyone. but i think your season isn’t as bad as the Media is leading you to believe. you only lost two matches the whole season and won 7 matches. i think that is a big improvement from last season when you couldn’t win some games that the old United could have cruised. this season Oldtrafford has its fear factor back and all that is thanks to Jose Mourinho. i had been reading all shite and negativity written about him, but believe me in Jose Mourinho you have a manager who knows what it takes to win a league. yes you lost a few games but who hasn’t lost? only City may be. and if you stay in the game their time will come. when injuries and suspension will come. you have qualified for the knock out stage in the Champions league, you are in the last 8 in the Carabao cup. i see no reason why you should complain. you have signed a very good striker who is young. a very good attacking midfielder who is equally young and has time. you have a group of defenders who are under 25, you have experienced holding midfielder in Namenja Matic. you have a creative sub plot in Mata and young players with pace and potential in Rashford and Martial. you have arguably the best keeper in the league. i think the only think you are lacking is Giggs like winger and two out and out fullbacks. assuming that Pogba returns fit and in form. i don’t think you are that far away from City. don’t let the critics get the better of your judgement.

And finally in Jose Mourinho you are in safe hands believe me.

May be the reason he does park the bus is because he knows we won’t get anything from matches against top opposition with the calibre of players at his disposal. The blame rests solely at his feet in my opinion for not doing enough in revamping the squad. Besides, he did say he was happy with his squad at the start of the season.

At this stage he must be thinking, gosh, “I need about a billion pounds to rebuild these shower of shite”.

@Chelsea.man – Good post. It’s not the end of the world losing away to Chelsea but its frustrating watching Mourinho’s team play away against top opposition. As a United fan I felt like watching a team managed by Tony Pulis or Sam Allerdyce. Physical and trying to keep it 0-0 for majority of the game. Even after Chelsea scored Mourinho tried to keep the score 1-0 and prepared for attack towards end of the game. Then Fellaini came on and started the barrage of long balls into the box. A club who boasted quality of football for so many years and spent a fortune to assemble a very expensive squad. Then Mourinho go away from home to any good side and play as if we are in relegation zone and wants to get a point out of it. Pathetic stuff from Mourinho.

If there’s no problem with finances, why didn’t he get his 4th player? And why are we fannying around buying second raters instead of going for the top players – only Pogba fits that bill. I’m afraid there’s only so much money, and after the Glazers have taken their cut and the debt’s been serviced, there’s only so much left for players and it’s just not enough. Once you’ve bought a big name, Pogba or Lukaku, there’s very little left to buy the other players we need. Hence, still short another midfielder, a wide man and two full backs, at least. And we either can’t or won’t get rid of the shite. Add to that, practically all the players LVG and Moyes bought weren’t good enough and 50% of the players Mourinho’s bought aren’t good enough.

jm1502-We all agree we cannot compete with the likes of PSG,City,Real and Barca, but there are so many players that can improve our team.We are not exploiting France,Germany,Portugal, at all for younger players!.We are turning into Arsenal by keeping average/not good enough players for far too long @ the club.i.e.Valencia,Young,Jones,Smalling,Carrick.Add to that we go and re-sign an geriatric like Ibra, wtf?!.It absolutely hurts my eyes when I see the likes of Blind,Mata,Fellaini,Herrera,Jones,Smalling,Valencia,Young, still costing the club millions of £££ every month. This is Manchester United not freaking Newcastle or Crystal Palace[no offence to their fans]!

Well I hope you’re right lads, but I’ll be very surprised if we buy anyone in January. Let’s hope Pogba’s return will improve things. It’s top four at best for us again and that’s no certainty by any means.

@redblood – The Arsenal comparison is a very good one mate.Whenever I watch them on TV I wonder how the fuck they expect to really compete ever again when they still keep useless twats at the club for years on end like Mertersacker,Cocquelin,Montreal,Ramsay,Walcott and co but then I look at our own squad and I realise that we are every bit as bad as they are for hanging on to utter shite, simple as that.

I think that appointing Mourinho when we did was a logical and necessary solution to what had become a huge problem. In fact, I think it happened 3 years too late and, as a result, I doubt Jose will be able to address said problem, that had only escalated during that time. What I’m sure of, though, that he neither is, was or will be the man to take us to the next level. I think he’s halted the slide and delivered 2 trophies already and we’ll be closer to the top this time around, unless our top players keep getting injured. But, like I said, I don’t think he has what it takes anymore to take us further, as shown in these big matches and it looks like he’s aware of it himself. People usually talk about his 3 year cycle but he’s becoming more spiky by the minute and that usually signals that the end is nigh. He might even be off next summer if PSG don’t win the CL and want to replace Emery.

All is not well and Jose is clearly not happy and the players haven’t been able to keep up with pace. They started well and looked like their fitness levels were superior to their opponents at the start of the season. Now, that the rest have caught up physically we’re not able to overpower teams anymore and that’s plan A, B and C out the window it seems.

Here is yesterday’s analysis kindly provided by smalling. A great insight into what happened thanks buddy.

“United centre-back Smalling said: “I think it was two teams there who can defend and who have got very good attacking players.

“I think it was always going to be a close game and we just fell asleep on their one big chance, unfortunately.

“It was disappointing from us because we’d watched a lot of their videos and we knew about Azpilicueta coming up and putting in those crosses.

“So for us to know what their game plan was and to fall asleep is very disappointing.”

Ther you have it they fell asleep during a game analysis over, nothing about the sack of shit on display after they scored? What was the game plan to get an equaliser?

JM..the money to replace the shitbags is there has to be chev ;training sponsor and adidas alone bring near enough 150m forget anything else. They haven’t even confirmed a sleeve sponsor yet and I can guarantee they are waiting for the highest bidder! Money’s there they know it ;Jose needs to get the c to spend it!

@jm1502 – And therein lies the rub mate, the astronomical percentage of the clubs revenue being absolutely spunked on such a large group of inept, piss poor players like this current shower are.No-one has a problem with top players getting the big bucks but when I have to watch that astoundingly useless piece of shit Lingard getting paid close to 100k per week for doing precisely fuck all for months on end, then it makes my blood absolutely fucking boil with rage.
This club has been rewarding systemically failing players with big new contracts for far too long, even under Ferguson so when you consider how guys like Anderson,Nani,Valencia,Smalling,Jones and many others have been kept on for far longer than their talents and performances have deserved, then you have to conclude that it’s no wonder we haven’t even come close to challenging for the title for 5 seasons (including this one) and nor will we whilst we are such a soft touch for players and their grasping agents, simple as that.

In addition the MEN are today ‘advising’ Jose that he ‘needs to sort out’ the contractual situations of players who’s deals are running out including Herrera,Mata,Young,Blind,Shaw and Fellaini.
I sincerely hope to fuck they mean finding them all an alternative club who’s willing to pay us some sort of a decent fee for them as soon as is humanly possible!.

MEN also reports JM will extend their contracts. And I bet Carrick and Zlatan get another year.

That said, it’s possible JM could sell one of them, Shaw being the obvious one.
