Happy for Allen! Nobody played well yesterday but Allen has generally improved. I don’t usually post to say that about him, but lately he seems more confident and assertive. Maybe it’s the beard lol.

Spot on mate. For me,he should now be starting games,as Can looks absolutely knackered. 2 goals and a penalty shoot out winner, who’d have thought that from Allen? Got to be honest,he’s slowly winning me over. Klopp seems to encourage him to get forward more than Rodgers ever did,and we are obviously reaping the rewards from that lately

Suarezteeth – I agree, Can should be given a rest and start Allen for a couple of games, not saying that Allen is a better player because I believe Can is far better but Can is knackered he needs a rest.

Never been a Fan of the ‘Welsh Xavi’ but like others I have to hold My Hands up and say that if not for Him then We would be a bit worse off than what We are. Kept His head down like Lucas all those Years ago and just got on with things and We have seen the benefit of His workrate. Well Done Joe Allen.

I don’t really rate Allen at all & I think he is a very lightweight player who offers little to the team. I have to admit though he’s played well a few games on the trot & does look a lot more comfortable further forward. I won’t say he’s won me over yet but credit where it’s due if he keeps this up I might just have to believe in him like some do.

I’ve always said that he should be tried further forwards. I’m not for a minute suggesting he’ll ever be as good as Xavi, but interestingly he went through the same problem at Barça. He was played deeper until either Rijkard or Pep played him further forwards and he became the player he did. He adds a composure to us further up. Before he came on we were trying to force it too much, trying to be too clever. I can’t understand why he didn’t start.

I’m not a massive fan of Allen but he’s has been playing very well lately scoring several important goals. Henderson has been playing with an injury, Can hasn’t been great so I would give Allen a start v Leicester this weekend. They’re not a very physically imposing side so may suit him. Perhaps bring Can or Henderson back for the FA cup match midweek. Think Lovren needs to start at the weekend too.

Thought he did well in parts when he came on.Moved the ball a lot quicker and tried to link midfield and forward line.Still think he gets knocked off the ball too easily but he did well overall`

Joe Allen is still Joe Allen, only because of fresh legs made him looks like Joe Alonso.

I know he’s a long way from everyone’s cup of tea (including me) but hats off to him and I never thought I’d say that! I agree with others that he merits a starting place and I hope he gets what he deserves. YNWA JFT96
