if that happens Carlo or Gus should only be interim as they are not going to be successful in the long term.

notnice – apologies if not clear was only speaking of Carlo or Guus as interim managers. Both are past their best for long term ventures but can do a short term job as they know the Club and the set up. Only thinking of going there if the decision was taken to sack Conte

If not – then fingers crossed for the rest of the season…? KTBFFH

Guus is 71 now and I doubt Carlo would accept an interim role but if Guus is fit enough health wise or Carlo would be prepared to take it on both would do a half decent job as an interim Manager imo.

I can’t understand the front story on Teamtalk Conte is allegedly on £9m a year and has a little under 18 months left on his contract fully paying up his contract would cost the club £14.5m not the suggested £27m although his support team would have to be paid off too perhaps that’s where the £27m comes from?

“El Confidencial reports that Conte’s uneasy relationship with Chelsea is set to come to an end at the end of the season – though it remains to be seen if he will walk or be fired. The Spanish publication claim there is already an agreement in place between Chelsea and former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique to take charge from the start of the 2018-19 campaign.” ???

I would dearly love our. Anager to do the decent thing and resign with immediate affect.

there are no ifs or buts, conte has been a disaster this season. Cannot work with talent, isolates players, cannot coach young players, refuses to accept the terms of his job, has caused players to go into decline and can’t get the best out of players. Last night also showed that his tactics at city were disgraceful. The club need a clean out starting with conte closely followed by hazard, fabregas, luiz, courtouis, Pedro and led legs who was shit again last night. Doesn’t offer any threat.

I’m done watching Chelsea until the 10 million moaner goes elsewhere.

Very confused after last nights game now…!!

After the City debacle I was positive that Conte had to go. How he set the team up was a disgrace and that Chelsea should never approach a game in the way. However, after last night he has showed that he is capable of playing positive football and taking the game to one of Europe’s elite and best and coming out of it with credit regardless of the result

I think that so long as Conte could resolve whatever issues he has with the board, cuts out the public whinging and focusses on playing positive football to our strengths then I would be in favour of him staying but equally I would want to see him sign a contract extension as a sign of faith. 1905, lots of unresolved issues in your last para but “if” they all came about I would agree with you.

No point though imo trying to rebuild in the Summer if Conte is only commited to next season. Cheers 999

this is going to have to be a wait to see what happens but if we go out against Leicester than the picture changes dramatically yet again.

Heart says …… Chelsea have already identified their first team coach and director of football for next season and they are working closely together on their strategy, identifying who to keep, who to call back from loan, who to let go and who are their targets!

My head says …… Pakhan Abramovich will continue to let his inner circle run the club in the same paranoid manner will continue to hire and fire coachs on a premium wage, sign “Poundland” market players and we will become to next Arsenal!!

Go… go now you one trick pony. Found out more than 12 months ago about this time of year when we struggled… won the title and then lost the cup final. we didn’t turn up. The team have not turned up this season. That is down to the Italian.

Take the chumps hazard courtouis and Fabregas Willian Pedro and led legs with you. And Zappacosta, drinkwater.

If the results are not the deciding factor then contes total mishandling of loans and transfers is an eye opener. This team cannot score and he gets rid of the only player who can…

FYI hazard has the same number of goals and assists as Kenedy since his move to Newcastle. That’s 4… I’m not saying Kenedy is better but that’s four more things than either Willian Pedro morata have done in the same amount of games… the guy is a one trick pony who got lucky last year…

Give me ranieri to rebuild this team for the next decade…

Oh and another decision by Jose to get rid of chech… cost the club massively… he’s still one of the best in the league… pisses on courtouis back ability wise…

    Thought I’d given up posting
But yesterday and games gone by have done it for me with Conte, zilch inspiration and has spread through the dressing room
It was reported ages ago he gone away from no football in training purely tactics and positioning and from very good sources, but brushed aside.
Even Vialli has come out and said he desperately wants out, but he ain’t going till they sack him, ching ching once again.
Not sure Ranieri is the answer, but then again he does come, just don’t know anymore what the answers are

The club have a problem if they think that they dont have to sack Antonio to get him out. Imagine the scenario that he stays as they dont want to pay out -we can then right off next season already as everyone would know he was there for one reason only and no decent player is going to join us under those circumstances and why would the likes of Hazard stay in that environment.
So as much as i believe the club are responsible for setting in the rot, we are now where we are and for the club to move forward the manager needs to go in order to try and change the rotten stench around the club. I hope we dont play it cheap and co*ck it up even further but wouldnt bet against it!!
