Starts in 2 days, let the sledging.
November 23, 2017 at 8:32 am #1560770Day 1.
November 25, 2017 at 1:13 am #1561588“day 1” was that really worth sharing and the best best your brain could vomit out?
November 25, 2017 at 6:45 am #1561600Fucking bollocks, for anyone watching.
November 25, 2017 at 9:40 am #1561617We need to make the most of batting first, get a lead of 250-300 and Let Jimmy rip em a new one…
November 25, 2017 at 9:58 am #1561623Did well to get through to the end with only two down there…the Aussies were on fire but that spell was absolutely made for their fast bowlers. Cracking Test match this.
Not sure about Jimmy you know, I reckon he’s carrying an injury and it’s getting worse not better. Without him we are pretty toothless and our weak attack will see us struggle like out in India.
Cracking Test Match mind you.
November 26, 2017 at 7:38 am #1562007Going to be a long old series this…not enough power or guile among the bowlers we have available and I just can’t see us taking twenty wickets in a game against Australia.
Ben Stokes eh? What an absolutely colossal prick you are.
November 26, 2017 at 2:56 pm #1562163Gas, from what I’ve read, Stokes was sticking up for others, but irrespective of that, maybe we should go back to innocent until proven guilty…Pagan
November 26, 2017 at 4:49 pm #1562224My neighbour is calling Cook a posh prick for not holding out, and throwing his wicket away. Not watched it myself though.
November 26, 2017 at 8:43 pm #1562303He could be sticking up for Nelson Mandela against the Klu Klux Klan for all I care pagan, if he’d behaved like a professional sportsman and not put himself in that situation he’d be out there playing for the Ashes now and we’d be a better side for it. I don’t think he needs telling either..
WonderfuelNovember 26, 2017 at 9:17 pm #1562311Gas, he should be out there, innocent until proven guilty….Pagan
November 27, 2017 at 8:49 am #1562357They can’t pick him at the moment from what I can gather Pagan as he hasn’t yet been charged, ridiculous as that sounds. Until the charge comes in and a timeline can be established of what he will be facing and when he can’t be on the other side of the world and fully focused on cricket.
Trouble follows the lad around and he needs to deal with it before he misses any more cricket. You can blame the local dibble all you like for not sorting it sooner, you can trot out innocent until proven guilty as many times as possible, if he doesn’t go out on the lash that night and put himself in that situation, him and Hales are enjoying the time of their lives at the moment playing for the ashes…

November 27, 2017 at 11:35 am #1562456Stokes is a huge loss, think sadly it’s England’s chance gone. If true that stokes cannot travel before he’s charged that’s ridiculous in my view – what if no charges are brought?
November 27, 2017 at 12:01 pm #1562480I really don’t know enough about it HK Blue but it is difficult to imagine the ECB would be cutting their noses off to spite their faces. They’ll have been in close contact with the police and Stokes legal team and it doesn’t seem like he was ever going to be considered for a long winter tour. Given his status within the squad that gives a rough idea of the gravity of what he is facing up to.
November 27, 2017 at 12:48 pm #1562526I think saying Stokes can’t go out on the lash is a complete pile of bollocks, why should he not be allowed to enjoy his downtime just like everybody else. The reason he is not in Aus is, the decision made by the ECB, nothing to not being allowed to leave the country. There has been plenty written in the papers most of which was hearsay and speculation, the only thing I witnessed for myself was the phone footage released and that looks like 4 blokes on Stokes and him just defending himself. The aggressors should be named and shamed and let them get the shit kicked out of them every time they went out, I am sure it will get out and that will happen anyway, I know it would in my town 🙂
November 27, 2017 at 3:49 pm #1562634I really don’t want to get in to a big debate about Stokes…he should be out there playing for a side that could desperately do with his bowling and batting. Despite ending up getting spanked by ten wickets, for three days there wasn’t much daylight between the sides and he would have been a massive influence on the game.
As it stands…I think we’re in for a long bleak winter like the tour of India the other year. We might get some decent scores but I cannot see the current bowling attack taking twenty wickets in a game any time soon. Hope I’m wrong.
November 27, 2017 at 8:49 pm #1562748Unfortunately it now seems to be the English way, pathetic PC gone mad…..Pagan
November 28, 2017 at 8:11 am #1562811So Stokes couldn’t be half way round the world while there was an investigation going on, but he can visit family in New Zealand 🙂
November 28, 2017 at 9:41 am #1562843We could go round and round in circles on this for months lads…I would be happy to put a case forward for having him in the squad just as much as I could argue he shouldn’t be there.
If nobody wants to talk about the cricket and the Ashes series going on I have nothing else to add.
November 28, 2017 at 9:43 am #1562848pagan – Are you referring to the Avon and Somerset officer who arrested Stokes? There definitely are some pathetic and mad ones around here!
