He now says that he made the biggest mistake by signing for Liverpool. The biggest mistake was Liverpool actually buying him. He’s got it the wrong way round. We actually did him a favour by giving him a chance. He just didn’t take it. End of story. He also says that he didn’t get on with Rodgers or Klopp. He also didn’t get on with Mancini,Mourinho,Inzaghi,Benitez….. I’m sensing a theme here.
Well done to him for scoring twice anyway. He’s scored more league goals for Nice in one game than he managed in his whole Liverpool career. He’s crap, and we are well shot of him
September 12, 2016 at 12:58 pm #1213566Balotelli has only ever been at very well known, big clubs. In this era of football, any player that may show world class abilities is already laughing. Their work has already been done – they know that big clubs will always take a punt with them as such clubs get ever more desperate to find future stars. The hype that Balotelli has carried has never matched his actions on the pitch. I deemed him the luxury player’s, luxury player. There’s no doubt Balotelli got caught up in his hype, but finally, he now has the opportunity to stand somewhat less out of the limelight and simply be a footballer again and actually find himself. I hope he does. Of course he’s going to blame others for not developing or realising his potential, because to him, he was already a star. This is the type of move he’s always needed but he needs to stay for a few years – no more quick flashes in a pan, then looking for another big move. Otherwise history will repeat.
September 12, 2016 at 1:04 pm #1213575He’s just a useless waste of skin as well as a waste of talent. Hasn’t a single brain cell in his head, but it’s everyone else’s fault. Keep telling yourself that Mario and continue to piss your talent against the wall. I have never been more relieved to see a player leave the club. Once again congrats to the transfer committee. A bunch of inept, useless tossers.
September 12, 2016 at 3:34 pm #1214037I would quite happily go without seeing another thread with Balotellis’ name in it. Time to move on and forget about all the negativity that comes with him
September 12, 2016 at 4:18 pm #1214169There are reports that we’ve inserted a clause that we get 30% of a transfer fee. Fingers crossed that he does well and another club pays silly money for him.
September 12, 2016 at 5:21 pm #1214286I noticed that, unlike the kloppites, Nice actually played Mario in his position, with support from the wings, hey presto 2 goals, Benteke will no doubt start finding the net again if he has similar support and Carrol has already proved at West ham what he can do if the game is framed to suit his talents.
Liverpool have bought in players in recent years, then totally failed to give them any support on the pitch and (if the whinging is to be believed) off it either. This puts a dent in the careers of the people involved and leads to bad feeling, especially when the manager gets petulent in his desire to get rid of them and sends them to train with the reserves etc.
This is the entertainment and BS that comes along with a manager like comedy specs……….
Let’s hope his poor recent record in big Cup games hasn’t come along as well, Oh …what am I saying.September 12, 2016 at 5:30 pm #1214301Bla bla bla knotter.. u don’t have babble on about Liverpool.. I’ll just cut to the end of ur comments so I can read the insult bit.. it will save me plenty of time
September 12, 2016 at 6:33 pm #1214397I’ll just put it this way. How many clubs has Balotelli been at where he’s been a consistent success? I’d argue none. How many clubs have let him go because he hasn’t been good enough? All of them. He even admitted himself that he wasn’t putting 100% effort in last season. He’s been given more than enough chances by different clubs, and he hasn’t delivered consistently enough. How could Liverpool give him decent service when he wasn’t getting in the right positions? He wasn’t in the box enough, and neither was Benteke. Mario was more concerned about fixing his socks while he was stood on the halfway line. A few years ago vs QPR,he put the ball over the bar from 3 yards out, with no keeper in the goal. He’s shit
September 12, 2016 at 7:29 pm #1214502I’ve always been very fond of Liverpool Gibbo, as I grew up watching them at their very best.
I’m not a big fan of Klopp and i think Liverpool have been in a mess in recent years with foreign owners adding confusion to the recruitment process.
I hope one day they will return to the heights they once enjoyed both on the pitch and as an example of a great football club that they once were.
I doubt it though,a much more likely scenario is for other clubs to join them in the circus madness until there is a breakaway into an even bigger format.
One thing is for sure, no one at liverpool in the old days would buy players without a clue how to fit them into the team, which seems to happen at Anfield time and time again.September 12, 2016 at 7:36 pm #1214517I agree with you Knotter, Mario never got a fair chance at Liverpool. He played 3-4 games with a suitable partner. Then most of his games came from the bench as a lone striker, with no build up in the team. Then Rodgers froze him out and Klopp just decided to get rid.
September 12, 2016 at 9:10 pm #1214673You could understand if he was talking about the type of football played and the instructions from the manager not suiting him. But if he’s blaming the manager’s personality for his lack of goals, then it exposes just what a childish brat footballers can become, when rich and pampered from a young age.
September 13, 2016 at 10:17 am #1215261I’m 100% in agreement with Mikus & JC’s post above.
As a side note. That other waste of space El Hadj Diouf
has been gobbing off about Mario. On the ticker above.September 13, 2016 at 10:23 am #1215267A great read imo from Bluefen & Brian Blue at the bottom of
this thread from our page.September 13, 2016 at 11:05 am #1215339The biggest mistake belongs to Breda who spent 20 mil euros for this guy!!!
September 13, 2016 at 12:55 pm #1215492Diouf said that Gerrard didn’t have Mario’s talent. You really have to laugh don’t you? You couldn’t make it up
September 13, 2016 at 1:16 pm #1215540the two of them (Balotelli and Diouf) are well suited… they both have a very high opinion of themselves despite the majority of people having the opposite view.
September 13, 2016 at 3:30 pm #1215894Mario’s agent should have done a better job in finding Mario a move. It was obvious that with Gerrard at Anfield that things would never work’
With Mario’s reputation , not to mention his many medals (including premiership and FA Cup in England) there was always going to be a clash with Steven (Mr Liverpool) Gerrard, Indeed Gerrard couldn’t resist having a pop on live TV on one occasion.
Poor advice from the agent, Liverpool were never going to be the club for Mario though I suppose you could say the same for Benteke and Carrol.
Mario has always been the subject of abuse for one reason or another, I remember in 2013 when he scores 12 goals in 13 games to secure the Champions League spot for AC Milan, the abuse still kept coming. He’s a maverick, there aren’t many of them left.September 14, 2016 at 11:38 am #1217421Gerrard had a pop at him on TV because Mario went against team orders and undermined his captain in front of thousands of supporters in the stadium, journalists in the press box,and millions of people watching the game on television. Henderson was the penalty taker, but Mario didn’t care,he behaved like a petulant child until he got his way. If Henderson had have had a pair of bollocks big enough,he’d have stood up to him. Gerrard certainly would have. He’s very lucky he scored the penalty. If he hadn’t,you can imagine the stick he’d have taken.
You’re right Knotter,he is a maverick, but he’s not a team player, and that has been his downfall throughout his career, and that is why he’s now playing for Nice instead of Liverpool
September 14, 2016 at 11:56 am #1217469Say what you want about baloteli, but i for one would hate to see him change.
In a world of over trained media robots, he definitely offers a refreshing alternative.
Of course i’d pull my hair out if he played for us, but he doesn’t, and this is true for 99.99 percent of all other football fans.
maybe the penny will finally drop at some point in the future, until then, enjoy the ride
September 15, 2016 at 12:55 pm #1219392loserpool and balletelli suit. both shit. both talk rubbish. both think they are greater than they are.
