@wondwerfuel gas. Give them hell mate. The miserable cunts. Hehehehe.

As for the game. I thought it was routine enough with the gulf in class between the two sides as obvious as Fellaini’s mop. Defensively we looked a bit shaky but that’s to be expected with a makeshift backline. So Lukaku has now scored 10 goals for club and country in the middle of September – he looks a brilliant purchase.

Seeing the devastating attacking of Barcelona and PSG does have me feeling we are bit short in this competition though, I feel we could be in real trouble when we play teams of this calibre but I guess that’s something to worry about next year assuming we cruise through this group.

All in all, it’s a “business as usual” type performance which will continue to build the confidence of this outfit. Big negative is Pogba’s injury though.

I didn’t see the game so can’t comment. It seems to have been a case of job done but not much more than that.

Meanwhile, on the terraces, I see Wonderfuel is in fine fettle, throwing bottles at fellow fans for what he deems is negativity. Wonderfuel himself is allowed to express negativity. Take his pre-match pundity for example –

1] Nice to be back and competing, in theory at least, for old big ears.

“In theory” – meaning we don’t have a realistic chance of winning.

2] Not ideal to have two centre halves with no minutes in their legs starting
Out of the array of talent in the team [ie positives] Wonderfuel choose to talk about a negative ie what’s “not ideal”

3] They haven’t been tearing up trees in their domestic league either.
In other words a win won’t mean much since the opposition is shite.

4] Not expecting fireworks, I’m going for a hum drum job done 2-0 victory.
So the optimist is expect a boring game even when the opposition is shite.

And after the game, does he express joy over the win? Does he praise the positives? NOPE! Instead Tommy-Two-Face simply turns his head 180 degrees to spew bile at MMI for negativity. AND he has the gall to call others miserable cunts!

PS – When I saw the title “Basil” I thought it was a topic about Basil Fawlty. Now I can’t get out of my mind the ending of the Basil the Rat episode.

MMI, having just had a passable meal, is expecting to relax with cheese and biscuit for afters. The biscuit tin opens and there ……. sitting between the digestives, is a furry little Wonderfuel eyeballing him and squeaking “Yer Miserable Cunt!”.

@Tommy – As the great John Patrick McEnroe often said,”you cannot be fucking serious!”.Playing the top red card is your modus operandi on this forum, always has been and always will be and that’s why several posters other than myself refer to it.
Even more hilarious is that you accuse me of “insecurity”,please remind me again who it was that threw his toys out of the pram on several occasions and disappeared for extended periods from this forum, only to slink back in the dead of night under yet another pseudonym. Now that’s what I call being insecure matey, simple as that!.

I’m very serious…you and your fellow little gargoyles trot it out from time to time with little to no evidence of it. And you’ve got your similar cliches for manthistle, hatters, happyhurling etc…you just can’t hack it when anybody calls you out for the demented, unhinged fraud you are.

Good result and performance, to win 3-0 against any opposition is a good result and I was pleased with the chances we created; if Mhkitaryan was sharper we could’ve bagged a couple more. Gutted about the Pogba injury; hope he’s back by mid-October as we have a couple of tough clashes were we will need all our players fit and on form to get out with some good results. Thought Lindelof did OK however you can tell that he isn’t a top level defender just yet – he’d have a nightmare playing against someone like Sanchez.

Finally, I would just like to politely ask that people keep the Man United pages for actual football talk about United and not mud-slinging and insulting one another. If you guys want to act like 8 year olds thats fine, just please do it on the Non-Football section of the forum so that the mature ones amongst us can actually talk about football. Thank you

@macguffin. Is it too late to kickoff a literary career mate? Hehehe.

I have an even worse fate for ol’ MMI – “The biscuit tin opens and there it was…. As he had dreaded – the most complete sewing kit he had seen yet”.

Its like groundhog day on here sometimes. If a ‘bedwetter’ dares pull up a miserable cunt for being a miserable cunt the rest of the miserable cunts crawl out from under their rocks to be miserable cunts to the ‘bedwetter’.

On to the game. Pretty much what most of us expected to happen. Job done with no frills.

Mkhitaryan is becoming a proper player for us now although he could have had a hattrick last night but missed 3 sitters. Something he needs to start getting right.

Thought Young was fantastic and could arguably start regularly ahead of valencia and certainly ahead of any left back options we currently have.

Fellaini did well when he came on.

Fair enough Sympathy, I know that I am one of the worst offenders and will try and mind my lip in future. Perhaps we could have a separate thread just for arguments?

@Wonderfuel Gas – appreciate that mate, ultimately I wasn’t mentioning names because I don’t want to drag it on further than it needs to.

Good match, good result, could have been more but we’re more incisive in front of goal than we were. On to Sunday, thank fuck Lukaku signed for us because if Everton had gotten a top class striker in with all their other transfers from the summer they’d be a serious outfit, they made some very astute signings over the summer, not replacing Romelu is a serious oversight. As it is, they’re going to struggle for goals this season, or at least until January.

Manthistle – So true. But i guess the reverse is also true right? When a Miserable C pulls us up for being “bedwitters” then we all come crawling out of the woodwork as well. It’s kind of where i was going with my thread at the beginning of the season about us all being friends – Miserable C’s and Bedwetters let’s unite together!!

Hatters – Let’s not get ahead of ourselves mate. To be clear, our expectation isn’t to win the Champions League this year. Nobody in World football thinks we have a squad capable of challenging, including ourselves right? We’re feeling our way back into the competition this season which means we’re targeting getting through the group stage and battling it out in the knock outs. At most we’re hoping for QF’s or SF’s if Mourinho can work his magic. That’s it though! We’re not in the same league as Madrid, Barca & PSG and that has been well documented and agreed by all. So there’s no need to worry “we could be in real trouble when we play teams of this calibre” because we know we’re still behind these teams in terms of quality.
If we all agree to align our expectations, which we all have, then we can avoid the mass over-reaction on here of how shit our players are and how many light years we are behind these teams – when we do eventually get knocked out by one of them.

@Sympathy – The “separate thread” Wonderfuel started to drag it on that was no more than a foul mouthed tirade of insults (all in capitals) has been deleted by the powers that be at TeamTalk. They may have put a stop to that particular outburst of demonic rage but the beast within remains and will doubtless return in a sequel.

@hatters – Thought you had me down for a lawyer. But if you fancy me as a scriptwriter I think happyhurling would be perfect for the role of O’Reilly the Irish cowboy builder in Fawlty Towers ……….. “This is easy, lick of paint, lick of paint, lick of paint, one hour.” AND you know where the gnome ended up 🙂

@scholsey – Don’t be that surprised to see a red cross in a game against the swiss 🙂

@emmicallef – Given JM sees Fellaini as important in his plans it makes sense that he should say we are second level.

@happyhurling – Playing the choirboy may get you and ice cream from your Uncle Tommy but you’ll only get a clip round the ear from me.

PS – I pulled Wonderfuel up not for calling anybody a miserable cunt but for his duplicity in having a go at somebody for negativity having just made a post full of negativity (albeit it all 100% right).

@killyboye – The yardstick is not United compared to Everton, it’s United compared to a City or Barca.

@manthistle – “Groundhog Day” – haha that’s rich coming from the man who kept alive what must be the longest running thread in Teamtalk history, going round and round in never ending circles.

@happyhurling – WOW what a realistic post about expectations. I agree. My only problem is that isn’t quite what you and others were talking about before. Before the summer you were saying we only needed a few players to be good to go. We got the few players. And after our three wins you were extremely bullish. You use stats to praise our defence, whilst most see the defence as an area of concern. You hype up players like Jones who most consider deadwood. One moment you are a bedwetter the next, what you would call, a miserable cunt.

If we do not have the team capable of challenging for the CL the question must be why not. Is it money to buy the players, is it JM not wanting the players, is it some rule that says you have to go slowly.
