What a right back he is. When setting up Ramsey, they way be glides past his man into the box, then had the composure to pick his pass to match Ramsey’s, run was a trait you expect to find in a attacking midfielder. He would have had two assists but for an excellent block from the Watford defender, after Bellerin had ghosted past his man and cut the ball back.

We really do have the next Dani Alves in Bellerin. In time, Bellerin will be widely recognized as the best right back in the world.

Great player, but don’t sing his praises just yet. Give him more time to develop in his own time. The thing we should refrain from is heaping praise on a youngster before he’s even fully developed. Let him keep his feet on the ground, but I’m very pleased how he’s made the full back spot his own.

Spain don’t have an abundance of full backs so it’s only a matter of time I would imagine before he gets the nod. Should also pay some consideration for the other man on the opposite flank in Monreal, solid as and certainly become mr reliable in this team. Still, Bellerin needs to hone his defensive skills and then I think he can be the complete full back, COYG!

He has such potential and as great as he’s going to be, but I prefer not to compare him with Alves or Cafu, Bellerin will always be Bellerin, a quality right back who can defend as well as going forward. I just hope he will stay at Arsenal for the long term.

Well he has just notched up another assist, this time against Bayern Munich. I cant stress it enough, he is going to be widely regarded as the best right back in the world in the coming years.

He can be a bit overzealous at times, so he just needs to iron out a few deficiencies. But all in all, we are looking at a complete right back, who can dribble, pass, cross, tackle, has pace to burn. Further, I would also like to see him attack the goal more often – such as when he beat two Liverpool players and curled past Mignolet last season.

Who is a better right back in the premier league?

I dunno admit Dani Alves, they seem like completely different types of player to me. I’ve always regarded Alves as strong, physically imposing with a game based on power. Bellerin though is pacey, energetic and intelligent with a game based on technique.
Either way, I’m certainly with you regarding him becoming one of the top players in the world at his position.
I was actually raving about him on here after just 2 games before most people took notice.
I also don’t believe he can be tempted away easily. He has been developed by us, given his big chance by us and had faith put in him by us. His English is great because he’s been here with us for so long already. He pretty much bleeds Arsenal now. His Barcelona ‘dna’ is irrelevant…

Bellerin has been unbelievable for us, its funny to think we bought debuchy and chamber to fit in right back but now they can’t even get a glimpse. If sagna was still was still in the team he would be watching from the bench. I think with a little more confidence he wii add more goals to his game. Jenkinson has been doing well for west ham I think we should bring him back and cash in on debuchy.

It was a great learning experience for him and although Costa gave him a torrid time in the first half, Bellerin stuck to his task. I think when Costa switched sides, it helped us and Bellerin was fantastic for the 2nd goal. He also had an assist lats weekend. If he carrys on then he will be one of the best right backs. I alos thought that Monereal was excellent yesterday. In fact the whoole of the back 4 played really well. That is one of the best games I have seen Mertesacker play. Let’s hope we can nick a point on the return leg and then win the last two games.

to be fair apart from a couple of times i didnt think costa caused Bellerin any direct trouble, yes he got skinned witha great bit of skill but that doesnt dictate the game between the 2 over 90 mins. Overall Costa was a handful for all our players and is looking like a big big talent, He was available for as little as 20mil couple years ago. Anyway Bellerin’s progression reminds me of Ashley cole. His first few games was given the run around but adjusted quickly and just grew and grew. They both also started out as Wingers/strikers and were moved to fullbacks, both had/have electrifying pace and are very good technically. if he turns out to be as good or better than cashley then we will have the best RB in world football in 3-5 years time.
