It could have easy been 3 or 4 just like it could have been a draw!Mata and Fellaini when on were absolutely atrocious,Mata especially was appalling.Martial was class today, could have and should have scored couple more.Glad for the 3 points and we move on.
January 20, 2018 at 6:55 pm #1586187Cheers HOMER. BOOM there goes the 100% record. Helps not to forget predicting!! So didn’t see the game. Sounds on here like we did ok, could have had more if better decisions had been made but also we were good to get the draw. Tough away to Burnley.
January 20, 2018 at 8:26 pm #1586212Didn’t see he game so can only go off what I’ve read and heard from mates who were there,by the sounds of it we were generally pretty dire, especially in the final third.
It seems Mata was truly appalling and scored only 3/10 from the MEN journo that covered the game.Considering that he is our 4th most expensive signing ever he really does fail to impose himself on the game far too often and quite frankly as much as I like the little fella as a person and a top pro I can’t wait for him to be gone, his time is well and truly up at OT.
Also read on the MEN that Rashford’s decision making was described as “childish” when he came on which is hardly a surprise these days, every time he has to think his brain turns into a pan of mushy peas and he fucks it all up.
If he doesn’t wise the fuck up soon and Sanchez finally does arrive he could easily find himself out of the match day squad altogether, and he could hardly complain about being hard done by,simple as that.
On another note, wtf is happening to this site?,does anybody else think it might not be around for too much longer?.January 20, 2018 at 9:02 pm #1586215Pogba and Rashford both making fucking stupid decisions today meaning we should have made it 3-0. If we’d have dropped points those two would have had their dicks chopped off, especially Rashford as his was pure greed and petulance.
January 20, 2018 at 9:56 pm #1586222I said it earlier blacky ;the site was far worse today than the united team! The site needs to sort itself out or f it off completely.
I watched the game on tsn4 and I have to admit Barnes for the opposition was a complete twat backing in ala shearer then demanding a free kick! He did it all game I was hoping someone would nail him.
Rashford is still playing with a total brain freeze I just don’t get him what is going on in his head. Mata was playing with his slippers on running around with a Zimmer frame. The decision making was a complete shambles. Sanchez is one piece we need a dog in a midfield!
January 20, 2018 at 11:56 pm #1586235I only just managed to get the damn site to let me post 1-0. Glad it did though.
January 21, 2018 at 7:27 am #1586256@united_we_win – Agree mate, poor old Mata resembles an arthritic old woman on days like those and it’s back to Spain and a much easier life for him in the summer I hope. The fact that the club don’t seem at all arsed that his contract is up in the summer must be significant methinks.
As regards your dog in midfield I have to say that Matic has looked off the pace for a good while now and looks in need of a few games on the bench but Herrera has been so bad this season that Jose doesn’t seem to feel like he can risk it.
I’ve seen a few links to Lassana Diarra recently who is available on a ‘free’,can’t see it myself but they have worked together before at Madrid.
As regards this site,it is dying a death and it’s only Arsenal,Chelsea,Liverpool and ourselves that are actually using it these days.Fuck me,they’ve still got Hull City,Middlesborough and Sunderland listed as being Premier League clubs!.January 21, 2018 at 9:47 am #1586274Can’t see the site lasting much longer either…if death comes suddenly, it’s been a pleasure knowing you all these last near twenty years.
Good win that yesterday, especially as it looks like we played garbage but we got the three points from some pretty grim defending. Sometimes you have to rely on that and that’s where Phil Jones is at his agricultural best. Belting goal from Martial as well. Boom, in off the bar.
January 21, 2018 at 9:51 am #1586277Agree with you about Matic Blacky, been saying it for a while. One paced, one dimensional and looking very ordinary and past his best. This was the problem when we paid 40 million for him – to old? I’d have preferred a couple of big, young, athletic destroyers to sit either side of Pogba. Certainly in the summer we’ll have to buy another holding type midfielder. We still can’t control midfield, even against the lesser teams. On another note, Mourinho says he likes “this” Luke Shaw and United turned down the opportunity to unload him to Arsenal, rightly in my opinion, then he goes and plays Ashley Young at left back again. Fucking puzzling if you ask me.
January 21, 2018 at 9:59 am #1586285A very dire affair with literally nothing to write home about apart from a very well-taken goal from Martial. I think a front three of him, Lukaku and Alexis has promise. Lukaku tends to drift out to the right and Alexis has the drive and intelligence to exploit those spaces in the middle coming in from the flank.
Rashford needs to remain an impact sub. He’s still just a kid and it’s all come a bit fast for him so playing with less pressure and more freedom will do him the world of good. Mata has his good games and then he has too many games like this one, which simply isn’t acceptable. Lovely guy and some brilliant touches but too inconsistent for a player who should be in his prime. Lingard has been one of our most improved players this season but won’t win you the league.
Matic is showing signs of strain and it would make his job a lot easier to have another player beside him and allow Pogba to push further forward or at least play from the left of a midfield three. Herrera has practically gone AWOL this season and only looks like a squad player these days. I’m not sure we need a destroyer in the midfield and I’d prefer a deep lying playmaker in the mould of Pjanic, Kroos or Thiago who can create from deep while also being adept at screening the defense.
January 21, 2018 at 3:57 pm #1586398roy-We need both mate.
January 21, 2018 at 4:18 pm #1586412JM – He was just given Shaw a rest. Nothing bizzare about it at all.
January 21, 2018 at 4:38 pm #1586425Get Koke, right age.
January 21, 2018 at 6:32 pm #1586471mufc.
January 21, 2018 at 7:09 pm #1586476true, redblood but I’d place the deep lying playmaker higher on our list of priorities.
January 21, 2018 at 7:47 pm #1586489His cousin Hoke is a better prospect mufc.
January 21, 2018 at 8:39 pm #1586504Tommy-What about Poke? Any good?
