Byram is now history. We’re hardly getting over the disappointment and the reports from Bournemouth are beginning to surface that the Cherries are after Cook. Will this madness ever end?

What have we become? A breeding spot for the elite and a dumping ground for rejects? I never imagined, through all of my days, that it would come to this! With this familiar pattern evolving, I am no longer excited about all the talk of our future academy stars.

The issue is that the only way that this sort of policy is going to work would be if the incoming funds were invested wisely to improve the squad. We simply have had a parade of owners who have either had their snouts in the trough or have stupidly spent paltry sums on players who were never ever fit to wear the shirt, or were clueless on how to properly run a football club or were potless or had barmy strategies for developing the club.

Sadly what we have had, for our sins, is a combination of all of the above. So until that changes and we get a period of stability our slide on the downward spiral will continue.

This will forever be my club come what may but I am resigned to this fate I’m afraid.

This forum is now unfathomable. Andthey don’t seem to be bothered to do anything about it. Anyone suggest an alternative location where we can regroup and get back to interesting discussions on a site that atually works?
