Got to feel for him, won’t have much time left at the top and he is now out for a while. His age will hinder his recovery too.

No surprise. LvG said Carrick could not be expected to play most game. The same applies to Schweinsteiger. I thought Schweinsteiger was signed to be in a job share with Carrick.

We are doomed without him. Joke aside, time to play a little faster with Herrera in the number 8 position and Schneiderlin as number 6. Despite the signings of the two Sch´s we are still short of a real good playmaker.

Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Blind can all do Carricks job. It’s not a train smash.

I think it’s laughable and totally delusional that Carrick thought that at the age of 35 yrs he could suddenly make an impact with England, when he couldn’t do so 10 yrs ago in his mid 20’s.Successive England managers have just used Carrick as the mug to just cover for injured or rested stars in between the major tournaments only to say ‘cheerio’ to him once the big tournaments began. It was obvious that Hodgson wouldn’t even think of picking Carrick once the likes of Henderson,Milner and Wilshere are fit and available so you would have thought he would have had the sense after all his recent injuries that he would have used the international breaks to rest his aged legs so he was able to prolong his effectiveness for his club, but his mind was obviously making appointments that his body couldn’t keep and now he has suffered for it because he’s picked up a serious looking injury which could even spell the end for him at OT should LVG now decide to buy another CMF’er in January, simple as that.

At 34 what he wanted to prove at international level! He should call it a day long before. Now what he is out. You are right it is the end for him now. Dammit when you are over 34, you should only concentrate on your club. He plays a friendly and game over

Worst player on the pitch and out on a stretcher. Too bad with his injury but against good opponents he doesnt offer much,no news there. I wonder how Manthistle will cope with this.

Just look at Mata’s face. You know he’s thinking “shit! That’s us fooked!”
